lyrics
As a child in Casa Materna we had to memorize much of the New Testament. Sometime ago the parable of the sower came back into my mind. I find it pertinent to women and our right to own our bodies:
"A Sower went to broadcast his seeds on the land, Some seeds fell on the road birds pecked and some were trampled. Some seeds fell on rocks and for lack of soil they died. Some fell on parched land and did not sprout. Some fell among thorny vegetation and, although they put down roots their young sprouts were unable to grow. Some fell on fertile land where in time they were very fruitful. Whoever has ears, let them hear."
Women, like the earth, nurture life. She, and only she, knows if her total being can bring a new life in the world, if all of her circumstances are beneficial or not. She alone can determine her situation. She is in charge of her body and her life.
